The UK Tea Academy trained coffee expert and instructor, Mr Sang Hyuk Heo at our London headquarters. Now qualified as a UKTA Authorised Trainer, he is based in Seoul and works in association with the Tea Speciality Korea Center.
Stefania Gilardi worked for many years in education and after several trips to Japan became passionate about tea and opened a still thriving tea room in 2008. Trained by the UK Tea Academy in London, she runs Tea Academy Italia from Abbiategrasso, Milan.
Gabriella Scarpa is the president of Ar-tea, a Cultural Association born in 2014 with the aim of spreading tea culture throughout Italy. She has been studying for many years but, when she decided to come to London and become a UKTA Sommelier and then Tea Master, she realised that the best way to bring tea culture to Italy was by becoming a UKTA licensed trainer. The Ar-Tea Academy is located in Venice, and the Londra Palace Hotel, next to San Mark’s Square, is the elegant and cosy location where the Tea Champion courses will take place.
Asako Steward is a Qualified Senior Tea Instructor with the Japan Tea Association and was appointed Japan Tea Ambassador to the UK in 2017. She has been running independent courses about tea in the UK and Japan for the past 20 years. In 2018 Asako established Tea Academy Japan.
The courses are led by UK Tea Academy Tea Sommelier and Certified Trainer Sabine Gullatz. Currently preparing for the final stages of her UK Tea Academy Tea Master exams, she is extremely well qualified to present this course together with English Tearoom owner Lynn Hazlewood (co-presenter). She looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm and knowledge.
