Tea Essentials Award
The Tea Essentials Award is where every future tea expert begins.
It is for the two billion people in the world who love tea and either work with tea or are simply tea-curious.
Tea is a fascinating subject encompassing biology and geography, science and health, social history, culture and global economics. But it starts here with looking at the tea plant and how the leaves are crafted into the tea we drink.
You’ll learn how tea travelled from China to the rest of the world, the differences between white, green, oolong and black teas and in our introduction to the Art of Brewing Tea, how attention to detail brings out the best from the leaves.
And when you’re done, you’ll have the opportunity to meet one of our tea tutors in a live webinar. They can answer any questions and talk you through the next steps.
You’ll find a whole range of UKTA units and qualifications will open up for you.
